* This is a Senior Project Manager position. The candidatewould be responsible for scoping, managing and delivering projects up to €10min value.
* The candidate would be expected to run the projects withsome strategic guidance from their manager/peers but have the ability to workindependently for the most part. It is very important that the candidate hasexperience running projects – that could be either for another pharmaceuticalcompany (or similar), a design house or a contractor. They will be leading amulti-departmental team to execute the project, so will need the soft skills tomanage people, particularly when they are not direct reports. Constructionand/or process equipment specification/qualification experience would be verybeneficial.
* It is critical for this individual to understand thatSafety, Quality and Compliance are our highest priorities in how we manage andperform our work.
* The Senior Project Manager will lead project teams andinteract across functional and site department groups to achieve projectobjectives. These capital projects could include new builds,facilities/utilities system and/or equipment lifecycle replacements, upgrades,manufacturing improvements and changes to support New Product Introductions.
* With minimal guidance, the candidate will lead all aspectsof their project(s): Safety, planning, cost, schedule, risk, communications,resources, team dynamics and performance, implementation, monitoring,completion and follow-up.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Project management and execution of projects includingproject planning/scoping and execution, prioritization, resources management,status management and external communication.
* Working with various stakeholders, both inside and outsideto scope projects and ensure requirements are satisfied. Managing expectationsand communicating project progress and challenges to these stakeholders.
* Develop and/or review engineering technical specificationsand bid documents for engineered equipment, materials engineering, andconstruction service contracts
* Lead day to day design (where applicable) and constructionmanagement of project works, including procurement, installation, andcommissioning
* Provide engineering support for manufacturing processes andequipment within the manufacturing facility by designing, specifying,purchasing and constructing mechanical systems and components (with the aid ofan A&E firm if required).
* Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensurethat installations and deliverables meet industry standards and clientexpectations.
* Strategic solution seeking to complex project phasing andexecution issues. The Project Manager will be responsible for their portfolioof projects from concept, through design, construction, commissioning andoperation
* Coordinating the introduction of new equipment includingdriving the project team problem solving and troubleshooting process prior toqualification & start-up
* Leader of multidisciplinary site teams
* Work in a collaborative manner within the Process Teamsstructure and contributes to Root Cause Investigations and Cross FunctionalInvestigations.
* Role model safety leadership. Support a safe workingenvironment by driving compliance with environmental health/safety practice,rules and regulations. Ensure projects are designed with superior levels ofenvironmental control, health and safety built in.
* Supervise contingent workers as needed. These workersinclude construction managers and all general craft labour and A&E firmpersonnel
* Present projects to senior leadership at governing bodiesfor updates and approvals
* Limited travel may be required to support execution ofprojects
Experience and Qualification:
* Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Relevant Experience
* Typically,5+years project management/engineering experience, preferably in thebiotechnology industry / aseptic pharmaceutical environment
* Proven project management experience from project inceptionthrough to handover
* Strong mechanical capability with hands on experience in atechnical role within a high-volume manufacturing environment, is advantageous
* Demonstrated experience in a GDP Compliant environment.
* Proven ability working cross functionally, deliveringtechnical solutions and implementing improvements.
* Solid leadership skillset and experience working in a teamenvironment, embracing aninterdependentworking culture that delivers results
* Technical report writing and communication/presentationskills
* Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast-movingenvironment
