The Role
This Commercial Manager role offers the potential to work across a global team and on all aspects of the sales and commercial cycle from the initial proposal and cost/price modelling through to contract drafting and margin performance review. The role also offers the opportunity to support the CFO with corporate development projects, initiatives and transactions.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Coordinate and produce customer proposals and formal responses to RFIs, RFPs and RFQs etc.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to complete proposals. Stakeholders range from internal SMEs (located in Dublin, North America, and Australia) to Oneview product partners and hardware vendors.
Work across internal teams including sales, procurement, product, project management and account management to develop cost models and the pricing approach for each proposal or quotation as required.
Identify and mitigate all sales contract risks in collaboration with the CFO and legal representatives.
Proactively support the sales team on new business projects including opportunity scoping and presentation development.
Identify and execute opportunities to maximise revenues and improve margins with new and existing customers.
Monitor and improve internal processes by identifying opportunities to improve processes and systems, including cross-functional integrations.
Work with the CFO on corporate development opportunities including evaluating new market opportunities and supporting business development and collaboration initiatives.
Skills and Experience Required:
Accomplished background in a finance, commercial, or procurement role
Direct experience with commercial proposals and pricing in a SaaS technology environment is not a pre-requisite but is a distinct advantage
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to prepare commercial sales proposals and identify business opportunities
Exceptional attention to detail in pricing proposals and modelling business development opportunities, with the ability to interpret & update commercial contracts
Flexible, ambitious and tenacious “can-do” attitude with the ability to succeed in a fast-moving, global company.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate team-working across multiple time zones and to negotiate and build relationships with various stakeholders.
Strong IT literacy, including with Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Exceptional organisational and project management skills to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
Location:
The role is Dublin-based with an expectation of at least 3 days in the office in Blackrock, County Dublin. There may be some international travel required but no more than 2-3 weeks per annum.
