The Vhi Group Technology Division have a full-time, permanent vacancy for the role of Senior Business Analyst based in Dublin or Kilkenny on a hybrid basis.
The successful candidate will be instrumental to the successful planning and implementation of a range of projects under Health & Wellbeing's strategic transformation programme.
They will be involved in leading and supporting the investigation, analysis, design & configuration, testing and implementation of new systems, and upgrades of existing systems within Health and Wellbeing, the Senior Business analyst will act as an agent of change within Vhi, liaising with a variety of stakeholders including clinicians and internal stakeholders.
Role purpose Understand the business objectives of Health and Wellbeing DAC (H&W) Support Programme Managers in implementing best-in-class programmatic, planning and reporting methodologies to ensure projects are managed in a standardised way Build strong relationships to enable delivery of goals and be a champion for change across Vhi Health & Wellbeing.
Contribute to the goals and objectives of the PMO Provide best-in-class business analyst acumen to project team Raise risks, issues, dependencies and conflicts and propose solutions Motivate and engage the project team in delivering on tasks Plan project meetings, user groups and other groups as required Plan and drive requirements gathering workshops ensuring there is quality documentation with formal agreement from stakeholders on scope/requirements Assist stakeholders, in prioritising their requirements for large complex activities Manage the definition and execution of new business processes and business process improvements Perform root cause analysis of problems, conduct feasibility studies and lead workshops with business users to identify and translate needs into business/functional requirement specifications.
When new functionality is released to production, work together with internal stakeholders, to ensure a smooth transition to the new systems and processes.
Where necessary, devising detailed cut-over plans to address potential operational impacts at cutover.
Support UAT during all phases of testing to ensure requirements as detailed in the specification document have been delivered and are ready for release With the Programme and Project Managers, identify and implement innovative approaches to implementing a programme planning/programmatic and reporting framework at the portfolio and programme level for reporting on progress of programmes Conduct research on best practice and benchmark as appropriate.
Key Criteria
Education and experienceMinimum 5 years' relevant work experience as a business analyst, ideally in a lead role with demonstrated experience of business analysis in a programmatic setting Preferably 3 or more years' experience implementing commercial off the shelf software on behalf of a client Experience in healthcare IT/eHealth projects e.g.
PAS, Pathology or EMR will be highly regarded A relevant degree would be an advantage Working knowledge of national health informatics standards such as FHIR and/or HL7 is desirable Experience and knowledge of processes, procedures and workflows related to the collection and storage of clinical patient information is highly desirable.
