We are looking to hire for a full time, fully flexible Chef Assistant for our Donnybrook Fair Cafe in Malahide.

This is a full time role where you will be expected to work various shift patterns across the week.
Please don't apply if you aren't available to work a minimum of 30 hours per week or if you aren't fully flexible throughout the week.
Responsibilities:
* Assisting in the food preparation process
* Cooking and preparing meals as per menu
* Assisting Chef for daily operations
* Helping with deliveries and restocking
* Assisting with stock rotation, waste management
* Contributing to maintaining kitchen and food safety standards
* Ensure the best customer service is provided at all times
* HACCP checks and compliance on a daily basis
* Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and 'clean as you go' attitude throughout your shifts
The ideal candidate will have/be:
As a Chef Assistant you will need:
* Level 1 and 2 Food Safety
* Minimum 1 year relevant experience
* Awareness of manual handling techniques
* Awareness of Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations (COSHH) and chemical safety
* Experience of kitchen equipment
* Competent level of English spoken and written
* Ability to work on own initiative & as a part of the team
* Understanding of health and safety & basic food hygiene practices
* Adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes
