Safefood is a key implementation body established under the British-Irish Agreement with responsibility for promoting food safety and healthy eating, research, and scientific cooperation across Ireland.
The ICT & Facilities Executive will be based in our Cork headquarters and report directly to the ICT & Facilities Manager.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide advice and assistance to the ICT & Facilities Manager in developing and implementing Safefoods ICT & Facilities strategy.
* Review and maintain ICT & Facilities systems, policies, and procedures in line with Safefoods business plan, requirements, and best practice.
* Advise on and provide ongoing support for Safefoods ICT systems configuration and integration with process controls and other systems used by Safefood.
* Deliver key support activities to Safefood, ensuring that Safefoods on-premise and cloud-based systems and network run efficiently, effectively, and securely.
* Support the ICT & Facilities Manager with the procurement, implementation, support, and development of Information Communication Technologies and Facilities.
Qualifications and Experience
* A 3rd level qualification in Information & Communications Technology or equivalent professional qualification.
* Minimum of 5 years ICT experience gained within the public, private, voluntary, or community sectors.
Requirements
* Knowledge of and experience of networking and communications technologies including LAN/WAN, DMZ, on-Premise Server environments, PCs, Laptops, Mobile devices, Printers, Cloud services such as Server, Backup, Office 365, and Endpoint Management.
