Job Summary:
A Reliability Maintenance Engineering Technician (DIS2) at Amazon is a crucial role in maintaining the operational efficiency of our facilities. This position requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual to perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
* Perform proactive and preventative maintenance tasks on various site equipment
* Carry out reactive repairs and fault diagnosis in a live distribution warehouse
* Utilize advanced tools to optimize equipment effectiveness
* Maintain adherence to all health and safety policies and practices
* Support the development and growth of on-site apprentices
* Pursue continuous improvement projects and implement best practices across multiple EU sites
A Day in the Life:
RME Technicians work closely with senior colleagues to undertake daily maintenance duties such as painting, plumbing, and collaborating with external contractors when necessary. They work varied shifts to ensure 24/7 support for Amazon's operations, enabling timely delivery of customer orders.
About the Team:
The RME team is comprised of skilled technicians who maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment across Amazon's global network of fulfillment centers. As a member of this team, you'll have opportunities to develop and introduce new processes or cutting-edge technologies like Amazon Robotics and Complex Item Sorter.
Requirements:
* NFQ6 (Higher Certificate or Advanced Certificate in Engineering) or equivalent qualification in mechanical, electrical, or mechatronics
* Experience with planned preventative maintenance systems
* Fault finding skills within MHE/Automation systems
* Interpreting mechanical and electrical drawings
* Conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
* Apprentice Trained, HNC, HND, BSc, BEng
* High voltage switching experience
* Sortation machines experience
* Maintaining/configuring bar code scanners experience
* Print and apply machines experience
* Fault finding on building equipment (HVAC, Dock Doors, plumbing) experience
