Key Responsibilities
As Lead EHS Advisor, you will drive towards an embedded HS&E culture, focusing on preventative actions, injury reduction, and environmentally friendly operations. You will:
* Ensure all employees and subcontractors are compliant with Health, Safety & Workplace legislation.
* Communicate effectively, translating HS&E compliance standards using modern software.
* Conduct site safety inspections and investigations, root cause analysis of accidents, and maintain the accident and dangerous occurrence register.
* Liaise with Site Managers to ensure Health and Safety documentation is up-to-date on site.
You will also review Method Statements and Safe Plans of Action (SPA), attend whiteboard meetings, deliver Toolbox Talks, and chair project safety meetings. You will be responsible for driving a safety culture by being a champion of best practice, conducting training, and suggesting improvements to existing Compliance monitoring and auditing.
Additional responsibilities include acting as a company representative during outside Agency Audits/Inspections, developing and managing risk assessments & method statements, and performing any other reasonable and relevant duties as requested by the Group Health & Safety Manager.
Qualifications/Experience
We are seeking a candidate with:
* Experience in a main/specialist contractor, ideally within Ireland.
* A minimum of a Level 7 qualification in Health and Safety.
* Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
* A strong ability to influence change and be a champion of best practice.
