Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Dispatch Operative at Ohshima Ireland Ltd. located in Shannon, Co. Clare. The Dispatch Operative will be responsible for managing the dispatch and shipping of parts and maintaining inventory records. The role also involves coordinating with drivers and delivery personnel and managing the logistics of transportation.
Key Responsibilities
1. Order Processing:
Accurately pick and pack orders according to customer specifications and delivery schedules. Ensure all items are correctly labelled, packed, and prepared for dispatch.
2. Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage stock levels to ensure the availability of products for dispatch. Report any inventory discrepancies or shortages to the Warehouse Manager.
3. Quality Control:
Inspect goods for damage or defects before dispatch. Ensure that all packages meet company standards for quality and presentation.
4. Documentation:
Generate and review dispatch documentation, including packing lists, shipping labels, and invoices. Maintain accurate records of dispatched goods and update the inventory system accordingly.
5. Coordination:
Work closely with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth and timely dispatch operations. Liaise with couriers and transport companies to schedule pickups and deliveries.
6. Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve any issues related to order discrepancies, delayed shipments, or customer complaints.
Qualifications
1. Prior experience in a similar dispatch or logistics role
2. Excellent organisational and time management skills
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
4. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
5. Good communication and interpersonal skills
6. Must have an excellent level of spoken and written English
7. Familiarity in using dispatch software and inventory management systems
