JOB PURPOSE
The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplined maintenance team tasked with the maintenance and upkeep of the Sport Ireland Campus in Blanchardstown, Dublin 15. The Campus is some 500 acres in size and is the headquarters for numerous National Government Bodies, for example, The Football Association of Ireland, The Sports Institute of Ireland, Special Olympics Ireland and many others. The Campus also houses the National Aquatic Centre and the National Indoor Arena.
The role will also involve the provision of support to department colleagues and third-party contractors.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Perform preventive maintenance routines as guided by a maintenance calendar.
2. Ensure scheduled PPM are performed and completed in a timely manner.
3. Maintain up-to-date records on the PPM system as tasks are completed.
4. Complete post PPM repairs.
5. Perform scheduled inspections on life systems (e.g., Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Fire Hydrants and Extinguishers).
6. Complete general repairs to both building fabric and services.
7. Complete PAT testing.
8. Assist third-party contractors in carrying out their duties on the Campus.
9. Assist the Maintenance Team with Campus General Operative Tasks as required.
10. Unblock toilets and drains as required.
11. Assist and support all out of hours events as requested (this will include scheduled weekend work).
JOBHOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Key Skills and Knowledge (Education & Related Experience)
1. Minimum age of 18 years old or over.
2. Minimum of Leaving Certificate qualification or equivalent.
3. Must have previous experience in a maintenance or facility services role.
4. Must have previous experience in using handheld tools and equipment (drills, grinders, cutting tools, jigsaws, etc.).
5. Must have experience of working at height (A-frame ladder, podiums, mobile elevated working platforms).
6. 2 years’ experience completing first fix carpentry and plumbing repairs is essential.
7. IT Literate – experience of MS Office and Maintenance Management Systems.
8. Familiar with computer-aided facility management software (CMMS).
9. Safe Pass.
10. Full Irish Driver's Licence.
