Role Overview:
We are seeking an Occupational Health Doctor to join a leading provider of occupational health services in Ireland. This role is ideal for a General Practitioner (GP) with specialised training or a strong interest in occupational health. The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting employee health and well-being in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide expert medical advice on workplace health, including fitness for work, absence management, and return-to-work assessments.
* Conduct pre-employment medicals, health surveillance, and occupational health assessments.
* Collaborate with employers and HR teams to address workplace health concerns and implement health promotion strategies.
* Manage and report on workplace incidents, including occupational injuries and illnesses.
* Offer guidance on compliance with health and safety legislation and standards.
* Provide specialist advice on mental health, ergonomics, and work-life balance.
* Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in occupational health.
Candidate Profile:
* Fully qualified Medical Practitioner registered with the Irish Medical Council.
* Experienced GP, with a demonstrable interest or qualification in occupational health e.g., Diploma in Occupational Medicine.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage with employees, employers, and multidisciplinary teams.
* A solution-oriented approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
* Knowledge of workplace health legislation and standards in Ireland is highly desirable.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development and a proactive attitude toward learning and innovation in occupational health.
