BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & ACCOUNT MANAGER (IRELAND)
Purpose of the Post
To drive business growth within Weber Packaging Solutions (UK & Ireland) across all product groups through the direct acquisition of new customers, identifying target sectors, industries and companies, developing and implementing marketing strategies, generating sales opportunities from new customers, and initiating and cementing the initial phases of the relationship with new customers in a B2B environment. Additionally, to manage the Accounts of existing customers, growing the business value of those accounts by developing the relationship and promoting additional products.
This role will join our successful Sales Team with the specific objective of managing and expanding our customer base in Ireland.
Reporting Lines
Reports to the Chief Officer / General Manager.
Salary & Grade
€35,000 – Sales Grade
Commission Scheme
A generous commission scheme is in place which, on successful achievement of sales targets, should generate earnings of between €60K to €70K per annum.
Location
Based at our Irish Office in Enniscorthy, there will be travel to customers in Ireland as required (approx. 4 to 5 days per month). A Valid driving Licence is required.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Identifying significant market opportunities through meetings, networking, general market awareness and other channels.
2. Developing and implementing a targeted marketing strategy, including digital and web, with the specific objective of attracting new customers across all product ranges.
3. Pro-actively seeking significant new business by utilising marketing tools.
4. Attending events such as exhibitions and conferences related to a wide number of industries to network and promote Weber products and services.
5. Identify and target key and strategic new customers.
6. Attending face-to-face and Teams/Video meetings with potential new customers.
7. Preparing sales presentations for potential new customers to introduce Weber Packaging Systems and promote the full range of our products and services.
8. Creating and following up leads from potential new customers.
9. Generating quotations and following through on the sales process for new customers, negotiating pricing within internal guidelines.
10. Initiating and developing the B2B relationship with new customers, establishing and cementing the relationship through the primary stages.
11. Providing specialist advice on our products and or services to potential new customers.
12. Meeting Sales Targets for New Customers.
13. Managing and growing the accounts of existing customers.
14. Providing Quotations across all product groups to customers.
15. Promoting additional products and services to existing customers.
16. Promoting Label and Ribbon Contracts.
17. Processing Sales Orders for new and existing customers.
Skills & Experience
* A successful B2B sales background, results driven with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
* A background in the labels / printing industry would be advantageous but not essential.
* Self-motivated, pro-active and entrepreneurial.
* Excellent communication skills including by telephone.
* Relationship builder.
* Strong organisational skills.
* Understanding business drivers and client’s needs.
* Good IT and Presentation skills.
* Using your own means to research our products and services to successfully sell.
* Achieving targets.
* Be able to demonstrate your structured sales approach and strong negotiation skills.
* Valid driving Licence.
* Ability to travel throughout Ireland as required.
