Global Investment Bank based in Dublin City Center is seeking an experienced Scala Developer to join their team. The role is suitable for mid to senior level candidates with 3-5+ years of experience.
We are looking for a Scala developer in our Technology Group, which is developing a global automated financial regulatory reporting solution. The team is building a strategic solution for financial regulatory reporting. The candidate will work closely with business analysts and solutions architects to define solutions and incorporate technical requirements.
Responsibilities include:
* Collaborate with Business Analysts to define solutions and ensure technical requirements are met
* Develop and maintain a regulatory reporting application
* Work with wider Technology support teams following best practices
* Ensure development standards and quality are maintained
* Evaluate and adopt new techniques to enhance the platform
* Develop across components of the reporting platform
* Participate in planning sessions for agile delivery
* Support the platform daily to diagnose and fix production issues
Requirements:
* Minimum 3 years of experience in Scala development
* Minimum 3 years of software development experience
* Experience implementing RESTful APIs and Microservices
* Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
* Experience working in Agile teams (Scrum and/or Kanban)
* Experience on large projects in fast-paced environments
* Knowledge of MongoDB, Cassandra, MS SQL Server
* Knowledge of Functional Programming
* Experience with Scala streaming libraries: Akka Streams, ZIO, fs2
* Experience using Jenkins and Ansible
* Experience collaborating with development teams across different time zones
* Proficiency with Atlassian tools: Confluence, JIRA, Bitbucket
