Vickerstock are working in partnership with a national residential construction firm on the appointment of a Senior Health & Safety Manager.You will be responsible for the implementation of the company's safety management system, contribute to successful project delivery, and enhance the safety culture of the organisation.What's in it for you?Starting salary up to €90k - dependant on experienceCompany vehicleBonus potentialFull private healthcare coverAnnual salary reviewContinuous professional development programme & fundingLife assuranceIncome protectionEmployee assistance programmeTax saver - travel and bike to workPension scheme with matching contributionsIn your new role:Support in driving a culture of best practice and continuous improvement in safety management and behaviour across company sitesProvide guidance and leadership to the management and engage with all staff across the organisation on safety systems and initiatives mattersDevelopment and implementation of Health and Safety strategies that align with company goals and strategiesOngoing development and support of the safety strategy, safety management systems and associated processesManage the delivery of specific programmes, projects and initiativesSupport the development of the EHS team, focusing on professional growth and technical competenceDrive improvement initiatives on company sites and with supply chain partnersEngage with relevant external bodies, stakeholders and peers to ensure that there is a focus on continuous improvement and innovationOversight and governance of annual audit programmeLeverage EHS systems and data to enhance oversight of safety metrics and reportingOwnership of key reporting requirements to multiple stakeholders including our Leadership Team and BoardMonitor and share guidance on Health and Safety related legislation, policy and industry best practice and trends, advising on potential risks associated with emerging legislation and recommend solutionsWhat you will need to succeed:Minimum 7 years' experience in a Senior Safety Management or equivalent roleBachelor's Degree or DiplomaExperience of working in Construction, Utilities or similar industryDetailed knowledge of safety management systems to ISO 45001 (incl. implementation)Experience of implementation of safety programmes across multiple sites and stakeholdersExperience of behavioural safety and change programmesStrong knowledge of safety reporting and presenting to senior stakeholdersExperience leading and delivering strategic change programmesStrong verbal and written communication and presentation skillsAbility to work as an independent self-starter and manage and prioritise multiple tasks and projectsAbility to work effectively with colleagues from all levels of the organisation, including senior leaders, project/site managers and supply chainDemonstrated success in driving solutions involving multiple stakeholders and layers of management, and multiple simultaneous deliverablesDesirable (it would be great if you have this, but don't worry if you don't):Member of IOSH (Institute of Occupational Safety and Health) preferredExperience working within residential constructionHealth and Safety Management, Engineering or related degree is desirableFor a confidential conversation on how Vickerstock can help support you with your next move, get in touch with Sam Geddis, our Health and Safety Specialist today.
