JOB DESCRIPTION: MANAGING DIRECTOR
Level of Experience: 8+ years
Reporting To: Partner(s)
Management Responsibilities: Senior account lead with direct reports across Managing Director, Director, and Associate levels as appropriate. Proactive liaison with the Group Finance Team and Group Senior Management Team.
* Set up and deliver relevant campaigns and programmes for clients – across strategy and insights portfolios.
* Serve as the leadership resource and mentor for junior employees.
* Manage integrated and international teams within a dynamic matrix environment working on enterprise accounts.
* Support the training and development of teams.
* Market the business effectively.
* Lead new business development and agency retention efforts. This includes scouting new business opportunities, developing and implementing new business plans around strategic initiatives/sectoral outreach, conducting strategic reviews of existing accounts, planning future work, leading tenders, proposals, and making presentations to potential clients.
* Manage contracts and renewals with clients while ensuring effective monitoring of account profitability and optimal resource management across teams.
General Responsibilities:
* Provide strategic counsel within the agency and across the organization to promote team development, synergy, and optimized resource deployment.
* Direct team and account management, ensuring clear account direction.
* Actively participate in the recruitment of new staff and the identification of consultant support as needed, including contributing to the internal staff development framework and mentorship programme.
* Oversee division account planning, revenue growth, profitability, work quality, client relations, and strategic development in support of the relevant Partner(s).
* Represent the agency and group in business and community networks through affiliations with professional associations, NGOs, and other wider partnerships.
* Foster positive working relationships with other departments/offices to enhance project/account delivery workflows and uncover new business opportunities.
* Manage collaborative projects across the team, demonstrating excellent written and oral communication skills, a comprehensive understanding of data analysis, and deep knowledge of strategic communications networks.
* Evaluate resource requirements and manage employees effectively.
* Maintain top-level industry, media, and political contacts.
* Complete timesheets and all other reporting and administrative responsibilities accurately and on time.
* Perform any other duties assigned by your line manager for which you have been provided with appropriate training.
