The role:
* You are responsible for the design and maintenance of operational procedures and processes that meet audit standards and improve efficiency within your area of responsibility.
* Manages, prepares, administers, and directs the monthly and quarter end, year-end accounting close and financial reporting activities within the Global Business Services Organization for your area of responsibility.
* Responsible for SOX compliance and internal/external audits within GBS working closely with Internal and External Auditors.
* Responsible for ensuring timely preparation and submission of local Statutory accounts, Direct / Corporate Tax returns, and tax provision calculations.
* Responsible for the completion of the monthly and quarterly fluctuation analysis and reporting to Corporate HQ for the countries under your responsibility.
* Reviews and approves accounting transactions and account reconciliations.
* Lead a continuous improvement culture.
* The development of strong relationships with stakeholders and customers (internal and external).
* Manage and continued development of a professional multi-task accounting team in a deadline-driven environment.
* Ability for limited travel when necessary.

About you:
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, Qualified Accountant with an ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or similar.
* Proven track record of team management.
* Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Oracle or similar.
* Previous experience in fast-paced multinational environments and previous experience in a Shared Service Centre is preferred.
