Event Monitoring & Service Reliability Manager
DP World has an exciting opportunity for an Event Monitoring & Service Reliability Manager to join our growing team either from Swarzędz in Poland, Dublin in Ireland or Hinckley in the UK. The Manager, Event Monitoring & Service Reliability directs the Network Operations Centre, ensuring robust monitoring and seamless management of our IT infrastructure for uninterrupted service delivery.
Responsible for enhancing network performance through tools such as Opsgenie, SCOM, and SolarWinds Orion, they also manage the integration of systems from newly incorporated business entities.
How will you contribute:
* Oversee the NOC and manage alerts for a variety of systems including Unix, Red Hat, Cisco, Palo Alto Networks, Windows servers, and UPS devices.
* Evaluate the current suite of tools (Opsgenie, SCOM, SolarWinds Orion, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Nagios, PRTG, etc.) for network and systems monitoring, ensuring optimal performance and integration.
* Lead projects to integrate network systems and monitoring tools from newly acquired business units, ensuring consistency and reliability across the organization.
* Develop a strong partnership with IT Service Delivery and Service Desk Managers to standardize incident and alert management processes.
* Implement best practices for ITIL/ITSM within the NOC, aligning with organisational objectives and policies.
* Establish and enforce SLAs for network uptime and incident response times.
* Analyse network data to identify trends and predict potential issues before they impact business operations.
* Lead, mentor, and develop NOC personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
* Coordinate with vendors for escalated support and system enhancements.
* Ensure that all NOC activities adhere to established IT policies and procedures, and that these are regularly reviewed and updated to reflect best practices and compliance requirements.
* Develop and maintain a comprehensive process documentation library for the NOC, ensuring clear guidelines for monitoring, incident management, and response strategies.
* Act as the primary NOC contact for interfacing with additional support teams, ensuring that escalation and support processes are clearly defined and followed.
* Establish a collaborative framework for the NOC to work effectively with IT infrastructure, application support, and cybersecurity teams to expedite incident resolution and minimise impact on services.
* Facilitate regular cross-departmental meetings to align NOC operations with other IT functions, fostering a unified approach to IT service management.
* Develop and implement a robust metrics and reporting framework to track SLA compliance, network uptime, incident response times, and downtime analysis.
* Provide regular, detailed reports on NOC performance to senior IT management, highlighting achievements and areas for improvement.
* Utilise advanced analytics tools to create predictive models for service disruptions, enabling proactive measures to maintain service levels and customer satisfaction.
What will you Bring:
* Minimum 5 Years experience of IT in a corporate environment
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science in the field of computer science or management information systems or a related discipline
* Experience in team management in a global or large regional environment.
* Industry certifications such as CCNA/CCNP (Cisco), RHCSA/RHCE (Red Hat), MCP/MCSE (Microsoft), or equivalent.
* Significant experience in a NOC environment, with a demonstrated track record in systems integration and operational excellence.
* Expertise in managing and tuning monitoring tools such as Opsgenie, SCOM, SolarWinds Orion, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Nagios, PRTG, etc.
* In-depth knowledge of Unix/Linux, Windows Server environments, networking, and power systems.
* Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage cross-functional IT projects.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
