Job Description
The primary function of this role is the inspection of raw materials, finished devices, packaged devices, sterilised devices, and device history records to ensure that all product and paperwork meets specified quality control requirements before shipping to customers.
Responsibilities
* Inspect manufactured products according to relevant FQC instructions and ensure they meet required quality control specifications before shipment.
* Inspect raw materials received on site according to relevant IQC instructions and ensure they meet required quality control specifications before release for use in manufacturing.
* Inspect finished goods packaged at Cook Medical according to relevant packaging quality control instructions and ensure they meet required quality control specifications.
* Inspect product which has completed the sterilisation cycle according to relevant instructions and ensure it meets quality control specifications before shipment.
* Review device history records in line with Batch Release procedures and ensure compliance before product is released to stock.
* Maintain GMP practices, including gowning correctly, adhering to CMA rules, following line clearance procedures, and completing paperwork accurately.
* Highlight potential issues to Team Leaders.
* Contribute to attainment of overall KPI targets for the QC group by achieving daily/weekly quality and output targets.
Requirements
* Minimum 12 months experience in a manufacturing environment or QC inspection role.
* Previous experience in medical devices is advantageous but not essential.
* Good communication and inter-personal skills.
* Ability to work as part of a team.
* Flexibility regarding working hours/days.
* Willingness and availability to travel on company business.
