With further projected expansion, the company is seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to spearhead sales and market growth across Ireland and beyond.
The Role As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding the companys footprint in the construction sector, focusing on treated timber solutions.
This is a dynamic, client-facing role that requires industry expertise, strong networking skills, and a proven track record in sales.
You will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building long-term relationships with clients, and ensuring that the company remains at the forefront of the timber treatment industry.
Key Responsibilities Business Development & Sales Identify and target new business opportunities within the construction industry across Ireland and Northern Ireland.
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to drive growth in line with company targets.
Maintain and grow relationships with existing clients, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Occasionally travel to England for trade fairs and client meetings.
Market & Industry Engagement Stay informed about building regulations and industry standards affecting treated timber.
Represent the company at industry events, networking meetings, and trade shows.
Work closely with internal teams to align sales strategies with production and supply chain capabilities.
Client Relationship Management Develop strong relationships with contractors, builders, developers, and suppliers within the treated timber sector.
Provide technical guidance on wood treatment solutions to clients where needed.
Track and report on sales performance, identifying areas for growth and improvement.
Key Requirements Proven track record in the construction industry, preferably with a background in treated timber sales.
Demonstrable history of client acquisition and business pipeline growth in a related industry.
Strong understanding of building regulations and timber treatment requirements.
Exceptional sales, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across a broad territory.
Willingness to travel across Ireland and occasionally to England for business purposes.
A valid drivers license.
