Our client, a leading PLC, is seeking an Assistant Manager - Financial Advisory to join their Group Finance team.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, supporting financial reporting, accounting advisory, and compliance across multiple business functions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in assisting with technical accounting queries, financial reporting, and process improvements while mentoring junior team members.
Job Responsibilities: Assist in the development and maintenance of theGroup accounting manual under US GAAP and IFRS.
Support thequarterly external reporting process, including financial statement notes and disclosure checklists.
Provide guidance and resolveaccounting queries across finance, tax, treasury, and internal audit teams.
Mentor and coach junior team members to support their professional development.
Assessaccounting implications of transactions and provide practical solutions.
Partner with key business functions, including finance, sustainability, strategy, and procurement teams.
Assist newly acquired businesses in aligning withUS GAAP, IFRS, and internal accounting policies.
Contribute toprocess improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency in financial reporting and advisory services.
Present accounting matters to finance teams and key stakeholders across the organisation.
Experience Required: Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in financial accounting and reporting.
Qualified accountant (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with a strong financial reporting background.
Expertise inUS GAAP accounting standards (IFRS knowledge is advantageous).
Prior experience working with aUS-listed company reporting under US GAAP is beneficial.
Exposure tobusiness combinations, financial instruments, consolidation, and divestment accounting is an advantage.
Strong stakeholder management and ability to collaborate across multiple departments.
Desirable Skills: Ability to applypractical solutions to complex accounting issues.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to conveycomplex accounting matters clearly.
Experience infinancial reporting systems and process automation is beneficial.
Capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
Educational Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
US CPA qualification preferred, though other accounting certifications are considered.
