Our client is a leading engineering design consultancy with multiple offices in Ireland. They are seeking to appoint a Safety and Health Engineer / Safety Professional to be based in the Dublin office to work on a wide selection of projects around the country on which they act as Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP).
The role may also include working on projects where they have been appointed as health and safety coordinator by the PSCS (Project Supervisor Construction Stage).
The successful candidate will be a motivated professional who will ensure the company's roles on projects are discharged and develop a positive and active safety culture on their projects.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring discharge of the role of PSDP on construction projects
2. Attending client/design and site meetings
3. Preparing preliminary safety and health plans
4. Compiling and preparing safety files
5. Preparing health and safety reports
6. Carrying out site visits
7. Coordination and liaison with all parties involved in a construction project
8. Reviewing the competence of duty holders
9. Inspections and reports on legal cases concerning health and safety
10. Working with contractors PSCS to discharge the role of PSCS on construction projects
Requirements:
1. Degree in Construction or a related discipline: Architect, Building Surveyor, Civil & Structural Engineer, Mechanical & Electrical Engineer
2. 4+ years experience working in the construction sector
