Salary: Appointment will be made on Irish Universities Association scale at a point in line with Government Pay Policy, appointment will be made no higher than PD1, point 1 (€45,847)
Hours of Work: 9am – 5pm, blended working

Post SummaryThe "Cliste" project intends to develop systems that leverage evidence-based research to help teachers create assessments at targeted difficulty levels, delivering individualised feedback to students, generating insights to inform practice, improving learning outcomes and reducing division between students who can afford outside help and those who can't.
The project is funded through Enterprise Ireland's Commercialisation Fund and will develop, test and refine a commercially viable solution.
The intention is to create a startup company at the end of the project to bring the solution to market.

Standard Duties and Responsibilities of the PostReporting to the Principal Investigator, work as part of a multidisciplinary team of edtech innovators, researchers, technologists and user experience expertsWork closely with the Technology Lead to develop and implement the Cliste technologyActively develop end user applications and backend technologies that have a real impact on future educational student learning outcomesHelp to manage and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support the development, testing and deployment of ClisteFunding InformationEnterprise Ireland Commercialisation Fund
Person RequirementsQualifications Degree in computer science, technology or related field
Knowledge & Experience (Essential & Desirable) 3-5 years of professional experience as a developer (desirable),
Have experience building:web based tools using Javascript (REACT, Angular) (essential)backend development and APIs using Javascript (Express.js, Loopback) or similar backend technologies (essential)relational and NoSQL databases using MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
