Our client, a College based City Centre, require a Bookkeeping Assistant on a part-time basis. You will work 2 days per week from 8.30-4.30pm and will require working within the Finance Team in several areas. Speak to Emma Skelton on for more info. Salary: DOE Duties: Review and update the budget sheets and summaries for trips, tours, and retreats, including income and expenditure details. Provide the Trip Coordinators with updates on the status of student income received. Issue and allocate purchase orders in line with approved invoices from budget holders. Ensure compliance with the procurement policy by obtaining quotes and ensuring third-party requirements are met for received invoices. Regularly update and maintain spreadsheets to track taxi and housekeeping costs for the Finance Team. Assist the Finance Team in preparing and making lodgments. Support the Finance Team with reconciling receipts and lodgments. Keep the lodgment spreadsheet up to date. Assist the Finance Team with receipting income from cash or cheques. Reconcile trip/tour receipts with payment disbursements or Clever Cards and record any discrepancies. Provide support to the Finance Team with filing and document management. Scan invoices and process them for electronic payment. Experience: 1-2years previous experience within a similar position. Accounting Technician is desirable. Strong numerical skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills with good attention to detail and accuracy. Organised and flexible on supporting on multiple projects. Excellent IT skills (MS Office-Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
