Apleona is currently looking for a Facilities Engineer to join our team in Limerick
Working pattern: 8AM-16:30PM
Full-time and permanent position
Main duties and responsibilities
* Updating of drawings across various sites to ensure contract compliance. This will involve site visits to ensure that the drawings are reflective of the actual installation.
* Ensure the project engineering work is completed in a compliant manner with regard to both execution and documentation.
* Provide detailed project specifications, drawings, procedures, tender documents etc.
* Preparation of capital expenditure request and cost estimates, and monitoring of project spend.
* Manage Installation, Commissioning & Validation of Equipment as required.
* Supervision of contractors associated with project work.
* Support renovations, and upgrades of existing facilities.
* Ensure all drawings and associated project programs are issued and up to date.
* Ensure all projects are delivered on time, to budget, meet the client quality standards and have the required functionality.
* Manage cost control and review costs with the objective of reducing subcontractor costs.
* Manage Facilities budget, and ensure compliance with financial forecasting process.
* Responsible for energy management on site, and the identification and implementation of energy reduction and awareness programs.
* Support the Coordination of office moves / desk allocations / space management.
* Responsible for review and sign off of plant drawing change requests.
* Manage site Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
* Assist with operations maintenance activities as necessary.
* To be a self-performing technician and continuously strive for self-improvement.
* Provide relevant information to assist with the generation of reports.
* Report any accidents, incidents and out of place findings to the client / line manager.
* You may be asked to work overtime to cover out of hours work as determined by the Supervisor / client.
* Take on ad-hoc projects from time to time as deemed necessary by the client / Supervisor or representative.
Requirements:
* Third level engineering qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in an engineering environment in a related industry for at least two years will provide a good foundation for this job function.
* Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
* Ability to make on-the-spot decisions.
* Must possess a dynamic approach to achieving continuous improvement.
* Must be self-motivated and able to motivate others.
