About Our Client
Our client is a dynamic and growing company operating within a group structure. As they continue their expansion, they are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Financial Controller to join their finance team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the financial operations of a thriving business.
Role Overview
The Financial Controller will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day financial operations of the business, managing a team of four finance professionals, and ensuring robust financial controls are in place. Reporting to the Finance Director, this role requires a hands-on, all-rounder who can handle financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance within a group structure.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four finance professionals, fostering a high-performance culture.
* Prepare monthly management accounts, group consolidation reports, and variance analysis.
* Assist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial models to support strategic decision-making.
* Monitor cash flow, ensuring adequate funding and working capital management.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements, including tax filings and audit processes.
* Identify and implement efficiencies in financial systems, controls, and reporting processes.
* Collaborate with senior management, external auditors, and other stakeholders to provide financial insights and support business growth.
Key Requirements
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a similar role.
* Strong technical accounting knowledge with experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
* Hands-on approach with the ability to manage both high-level strategy and day-to-day financial operations.
* Excellent leadership skills with experience managing and developing a finance team.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
