Overview of role:
Gaeltec Utilities are seeking a full-time Accounts Administrator within our Finance Department to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team where you will be responsible for invoice processing, data entry, and record keeping. The role requires the candidate to have strong numerical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
* Processing of invoices ensuring accuracy and entry in a timely manner.
* Maintain accurate financial records and update of ERP.
* Ensure payments have the required approvals as per Company guidelines and policies.
* Communication with internal and external customers to verify and follow details as required.
* Assisting with the reconciliation of bank, credit card, and supplier accounts.
* Assist in the preparation of weekly payment runs.
* Assist in the preparation of employee expenses.
* Processing of month-end financial journals.
* Assist with month-end processes.
* Other ad hoc tasks that may arise in the Finance Department when required.
Essential Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
* Previous experience in an Accounts Administrator or similar role.
* Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
* Experience with an ERP system (Coins, Sage or similar).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
* Organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
* Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
