Job Summary:
A Financial Accountant is required to maintain control accounts, schedules and reconciliations. The successful candidate will assist in preparing and completing monthly performance reporting packs for the management team.
The role involves preparing weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations, maintaining weekly forecast cash flow files, and assisting in maintaining and updating the general ledger by recording transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant with industry experience in construction or engineering, proficient in accounting software and other financial tools.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintain control accounts, schedules and reconciliations
* Assist in preparation and completion of monthly performance reporting pack for management team
* Prepare weekly and monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
* Maintain weekly forecast cash flow files
* Assist in maintaining and updating the general ledger
* Assist in preparing financial statements and year-end audit process
* Completion of monthly management accounts up to Trial Balance
* Prepare initial tax returns for VAT, RCT, CT, for UK and Ireland
Requirements:
* Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA)
* Industry experience in construction or engineering
* Proficient in accounting software and other financial tools
