The core purpose of this role is to support the Ireland Commercial Team. This role includes administrative and data entry tasks along with assisting the Category Manager in planning and implementing key initiatives to grow the category.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress in a fast-paced retail environment. The ACM role focuses on driving category performance through supporting delivery of market leading ranging, pricing, and promotional planning.
Responsibilities:
* Briefing Marketing, Online and Store teams on weekly promotions.
* Variety of administrative tasks as communicated by the Category Manager such as pricing input and daily/weekly stock & sales reporting
* Producing promotional planning documents for different categories
* Ensuring all online content is correct and up to date
* Building good relationships with the Currys UK Commercial teams to ensure Ireland is included in upcoming plans and promotions
* Supporting category with Retail Operations to ensure propositions are easy to implement for store colleagues.
* Provide support to the Category Manager to compile and update category promotional plans and ascertain with Stock Planner what stock is required to support these plans.
* Compiling competitor information and presenting competitor packs highlighting key issues with conclusions and recommended actions.
* Support the execution of a category pricing & promotional plan that drives the category sales and margin to achieve target and maintain our competitiveness in the market.
You will need:
* Experience working within a FMCG retailer
* Experience in an office environment for 1+ years
* Commercial acumen and financial awareness
* Previous experience of stakeholder management.
* Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
* Excellent organisational, analytical and data management skills.
* IT proficient with ability to learn new systems quickly.
* Strong interpersonal skills with ability to engage effectively at all levels
* Educated to degree standard or equivalent retail experience.
* Fluency in English, both written & oral.
