The Role:
Irish Country Meats are seeking to appoint a Shipping and Transport Administrator based in Navan, Co Meath on a full-time basis.
Key Responsibilities will include:
1. Processing export and domestic shipping documentation on a daily basis
2. Managing internal and external cold store movements
3. Liaising with account managers and haulage agents on logistical matters
4. Setting high standards of customer service over the phone and across the counter
5. Completing customs paperwork
6. Providing holiday cover as required for evening shift shipping, documentation and various administrative functions.
7. Complying with all relevant standard operating procedures.
The Candidate:
This role would suit someone with the following criteria:
1. Ideally coming from a manufacturing, FMCG or logistics background
2. Ideally have one years’ experience in a busy administration role and having either despatch or shipping experience would be an advantage, however not essential
3. Strong communication skills as you will be liaising with a broad range of internal departments and service providers (finance, despatch, hauliers, cold stores, sales etc.)
4. Have a flexible approach, an ability to work on their own initiative and as part of a dynamic admin/finance team
5. Excellent attention to detail, be efficient, highly organised and ability to meet deadlines.
6. Willingness to develop new skills and learn new roles if opportunities arise.
7. Knowledge of Navision would be an advantage but not essential.
8. French and/or German would be an advantage but not essential.
