We are delighted to be working with our client based in Dublin 24 to source an experienced warehouse manager to join their well-established team and assist with implementing policies and procedures as the company and demand grow. This will be a fast-paced environment with a well established team. The working week will be Monday to Friday & the right candidate will be expected to grow the team and business as required to grow their career. OB22
Responsibilities:
* Ensure Warehouse operatives follow operational processes and procedures, comply with Company policies and work effectively as a team
* Ensure staff follow Company Policies and Procedures, communicate effectively with staff as directed by the Managing Director.
* Conduct competency & efficiency reviews for all staff in line with policy.
* Address staff grievances and any disciplinary matters in line with policy. Absence management in line with policy.
* Responsible for all warehouse recruitment.
* Ensure adequate skillset exists across all warehouse functions; identify knowledge gaps and promote internal training where relevant and necessary.
* Work with the team in scheduling the workload and in rostering the staff for the business peaks and summer holiday period.
* Responsible for small team of delivery drivers (and vehicles) who are tasked with completing daily delivery schedules and ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed.
* Arrange for the provision, maintenance, and repair of equipment in line with policy; Ensure an excellent standard of housekeeping is maintained throughout the facility.
* Ensure compliance to GDP standards.
* Ensure compliance to WDA in line with current HPRA regulations & license .
* Maintain training records for all personnel.
* Manage Health & Safety locally; Conduct and review risk assessments of all activities in line with policy;
* Ensure full compliance with all group H&S policies.
Requirements:
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a warehouse supervisory or management role.
* Strong people management, organizational & interpersonal skills.
* Background knowledge of HR & employment law.
* Knowledge of Health & Safety regulations.
* Third level qualification would be desirable.
* Ability to work well under pressure, delegate and effective time management are all key skills for this role.
