Metro Hotel Dublin Airport, a 4* hotel just minutes from Dublin Airport is currently recruiting an experienced Assistant Food & Beverage Manager.
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager, you will convey a positive and professional image of the hotel to both customers and colleagues in an efficient, friendly, and helpful manner, while ensuring that all duties are conducted to required standards.
Expected starting date: mid January 2025.
Main Responsibilities:
* To ensure that the hotel’s Food & Beverage department objectives are achieved in terms of revenue levels, high-quality standards of products and service, profitability, operational efficiency, and guest satisfaction.
* Ensure that all employees are aware of the hotel values and that they are embedded into the running of the department.
* Lead by example specifically with regard to personal presentation, punctuality, attendance, application to work, teamwork, and customer care.
* Anticipate guests' needs in order to enhance service quality and increase customer satisfaction.
* To control revenue and expenditure to achieve optimum financial efficiency in line with budget.
* Take ownership of guest complaints, ensuring that they are dealt with to their conclusion.
* To assist in the achievement of the hotel’s budgeted financial plan.
* To control all costs, including purchasing, maintenance, and labour within your departments.
* Monitor and make sure the Department follows all applicable laws.
* Assist in other departments when necessary.
* Carry out DM shifts when required.

* Must have relevant experience in a similar position in hotels.
* Must be passionate about food & drinks.
* Must have a hands-on approach.
* Must be able to multi-task.
* Must be able to approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
* Must be able to perform opening and closing duties according to established side work checklists.
* Must be able to work as part of a team in a busy Bar/Restaurant environment.
* Must be flexible in relation to business needs.
* Must have a good command of the English language.
* Must have excellent self-presentation.
