Job Description: As the Head of Finance - PCF 11 for ACE Money Transfer in Dublin, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the organization.
This position reports directly to the CEO in Ireland while working closely with Group's finance function and requires a seasoned finance professional with a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks, financial reporting, and strategic financial management.
Responsibilities: Financial Leadership: Provide strategic financial leadership and contribute to the development of financial goals and objectives.
Collaborate with senior management to formulate financial policies and ensure their implementation.
Coordinate with potential investors and stakeholders to raise equity and explore other financing options.
Financial Planning and Analysis: Lead the financial planning and forecasting processes to support business decision-making.
Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
Regulatory Compliance: Serve as the PCF 11 designated person, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements including client money safeguarding requirements.
Stay informed about changes in financial regulations and implement necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.
Financial Reporting: Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with Central Bank of Ireland reporting requirements, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and other applicable accounting standards.
Financial Risk Management: Identify and assess financial risks across the business, implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate risk management into business processes and drive revenue optimization.
Audit Coordination: Manage the audit process, liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient audit cycle including client funds safeguarding and cost management.
Implement audit recommendations and improvements to internal controls.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to align financial goals with overall business objectives.
Monitor budget performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
Qualifications: Chartered Accountant (CA/ACCA).
Proven experience in a senior finance role with exposure to international financial operations.
In-depth knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements, particularly in the context of client money safeguarding requirements and other PCF 11 responsibilities.
Being a past or current PCF 11 role holder is an advantage.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide strategic financial guidance, excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
Experience in the fintech or financial services industry is a plus.
