We are seeking a skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Kitchen Assistant/Commis Chef.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and serve meals and beverages for residents, visitors, and staff, adhering to high standards of quality and presentation.
2. Set up resident trays and dining areas with the necessary equipment, utensils, and food in the required quantities and at the correct time.
3. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, dining areas, and catering equipment, using proper cleaning techniques and equipment as directed by the Chef Manager.
4. Assist residents in making informed menu choices, providing guidance on available options.
5. Ensure strict adherence to good hygiene practices, health and safety protocols, HACCP, and COSHH Regulation at all times, meeting legislative requirements.
6. Support record-keeping activities as directed by the Chef Manager.
7. Pursue additional duties as assigned by the Chef Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. A minimum of 1 year of experience working in a kitchen or catering environment.
2. HACCP training is mandatory.
3. Excellent communication skills are essential.
4. The ability to maintain reliability and adhere to schedules is crucial.
5. Strong teamwork and collaboration skills are required.
6. Fluent English language skills, both written and spoken, are necessary.
Job Details:

* Hourly Rate: €12.70
* Weekly Hours: 39
