Overview
The Sourcing Specialist is responsible for sourcing and procuring services and materials, negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. In addition, you will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that procurement strategies align with business goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate for this position should have a strong background in procurement, excellent project management skills, and a proven track record of delivering results.
Time zone flexibility will be required as you will collaborate with a diverse and dynamic team spread across different time zones.
Responsibilities
1. Manage discovery and preparation of RFP/RFI/RFQ as required using the approved Procurement toolkit documentation and processes.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and identify cost-saving opportunities.
3. Conduct market research and supplier assessments to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities.
4. Support the implementation of procurement strategies that optimize the cost, quality, and delivery of goods and services.
5. Manage procurement process for goods and services, including vendor selection, price negotiation, and contract management to achieve the best value for the organization.
6. Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, price, delivery, and reliability to ensure the best value for the organization.
7. Monitor & manage supplier relationships and supplier performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
8. Monitor market trends and conduct research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
9. Monitor spending trends, identify potential new sourcing initiatives, analyze options, and provide recommendations for initiatives to be included in the business plan.
10. Assist in developing and implementing procurement strategies to support business goals and objectives.
11. Liaise with the Vendor Management team to ensure continuity of supply/service and risk management of strategic contracts, ensuring that the delivery matches the objectives and deliverables in the contract schedules.
Qualifications
1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, CIPS or supply chain management, finance, or a related discipline.
2. Must have a minimum of five years of experience and a demonstrated ability to manage strategic sourcing and supplier management.
3. Having experience in handling contracts in IT, Professional Services, Travel, or Production (Media) is considered an advantage.
4. Excellent communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
5. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
6. Sound financial analytical skills and a good understanding of contract law.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
8. Awareness of regulation and legislation on the markets involved.
9. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
10. Ability to work effectively in a team/hybrid environment.
11. A proven team player with impeccable attention to detail and the ability to prioritize deliverables aligned with organizational strategy.
12. Proficiency in procurement software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
13. Completely literate in the English language, with an advanced level in one of the European languages being a plus.
