Job Title: Clinical Specialist Radiographer for PET/CT
We are hiring a clinical specialist radiographer for PET/CT in our hospital in Dublin, Ireland.
Key Responsibilities:
* Clinical Operations:
o Carry out daily primary responsibility for the PET/CT service and the efficient use of all allotted resources as a team leader.
* Take responsibility for the services' caliber, including technical and customer support components.
o Participate in creating and executing operational rules, procedures, and guidelines to guarantee efficient resource use and methodical audit of that use.
* Create and manage a training function as needed for qualified employees, trainees, and/or students. Oversee and evaluate every training session as needed.
o Coordinate with the Head of Radiology regarding staff rotation within the Department to ensure sufficient supply of qualified personnel.
* Discuss human resources matters with the head of radiology when necessary.
o Evaluate staff members on their understanding and adherence to hospital regulations and pertinent information regarding PET/CT safety.
* Evaluate staff members on their awareness and adherence to hospital policies, including infection control, IV policy, health and safety, etc.
1. Participate in creating service plans; oversee and document their execution according to hospital guidelines.
* Establish and maintain precise information systems for clinical data as per hospital requirements.
2. Coordinate preventative maintenance programs to ensure correct records of equipment servicing, maintenance, malfunction, downtime, and performance for the Head of Radiology.
Requirements:
* Degree in Diagnostic Radiography (BSc Hons) or equivalent.
o Nuclear medicine postgraduate degree or PET/CT CORU Registration required.
* A management course is optional but preferred.
o Postgraduate degree in the modality with at least three years of experience, or minimum six years of experience in the chosen modality.
* Knowledge of PET/CT, SPECT/CT, and radiopharmacy operations.
o Ability to administer and cannulate intravenous needles.
