Background to Role

We have led the way as an Energy Supply Company ("ESCo") in carrying out sustainability contracts in the Public Sector with leading County Councils and we have also carried out the first Energy Performance Contracts (EPCs) in the Private Sector with market leading companies. Our vision is to become the leaders in Ireland in designing, implementing, and managing energy efficiency projects.
During the performance phase of the EPCs, Lawler Sustainability manage the Planned Preventive Maintenance of all the Energy Conservation measures over the lifetime of the EPC, and increasingly manage the Clients Existing plant and equipment. This is essential to generate additional income throughout the EPC and to ensure that the performance of the contract continues to pay back to Lawler Sustainability over the full duration of the Performance contract.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Facilities Engineer to lead and manage a range of technical services across a portfolio of assigned sites for our clients. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Operations.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician with a passion for Energy Efficiency & Sustainability.
Your role as a Maintenance & Sustainability Engineer will be part of the wider Lawler Sustainability Solutions Team. You will act as the primary contact for all technical service issues, accountable for resolving highly complex systems within a set timeframe and according to a defined process, service agreement and customer needs.
This is a mobile role covering mainly Greater Dublin Area but will on occasions as required extend outside this.
The role will include carrying out direct PPM Tasks in addition to the management of specialist subcontractors.
The following are key activities which an ideal candidate should be capable of either carrying out or organizing:
* To carry out PPM Tasks and routines in a timely and efficient manner.
* To carry out small to medium size electrical repairs and installations.
* Upgrading fans, motors, pumps to more energy efficient systems.
* To carry out routine checks on all systems including but not limited to Electrical systems, Heating, Ventilation & Air Conditioning Systems, Building Management Systems.
* Be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of HVAC systems, ensuring optimal functionality and energy efficiency.
* Complete servicing, troubleshooting, diagnosis & repair of HVACR equipment.
* Preventative maintenance of various types of HVACR systems.
* Ability to plan and carry out works to achieve an efficient & speedy resolution to reactive maintenance issues that arise.
* Assist with documenting maintenance tasks carried out on site.
* Assist with supervision of contractors on site to make sure works carried out safely and in line with relevant standards.
* Contacting suppliers to source and order material is required.
* Provide up to date site surveys, records, and reports regarding works completed and actions needed to aid quoting of new or replacement equipment.
Role Requirements
* Electrical, Mechanical, or BMS Qualification.
* Irish full drivers’ licence (must be 25 or over).
* Flexible to work some weekends / evenings.
* Experience in PPMs on all HVAC plant.
* Any other qualifications relative to the role.
* F-GAS certificate.
* Proven experience as an HVAC Engineer or HVAC Service Technician.
* Have experience with major HVAC manufacturers such as Daikin, Hitachi, Mitsubishi Electric.
* Previous experience in an FM role covering PPM & Repair in Commercial Buildings.
* Capable of working without detailed procedures and with limited supervision.
* Clean Irish Driving License.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
