Position summary:
The Lead HVAC Mechanical Engineer role is to provide Intel Mechanical Systems Engineers (System Owners) support in maintaining the operation of mechanical equipment, plant and distribution systems.
HVAC Lead System Mechanical Engineer will be reporting to the on-site manager.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordination and management of Factory HVAC and air handling / humidification water/ chill water equipment and system maintenance, upgrades, repairs, feasibility studies and design reviews.
* Risk analysis - support in drafting, review and presentation
* Represent System Owner on project input if/as required
* Attending Project meetings
* Due diligence reviews on project scope of works - attend design review meetings
* Coordinate and carry out equipment rotations on air handling systems.
* System parameter modifications - in alignment with CS team requirements
* Process and Instrumentation Adjustments
* Support of Energy Group
* Attend daily update meetings and weekly operations meetings and provide system status updates as required
* Address action lists and manage to close out
* Work with and coordinate works with onsite sustaining technical Support Groups
* Backup to other System Owners
* Lock-out/Tag-out of systems - in agreement with system owners as required
* Trouble shooting system problems - Physical testing and reporting out
* Fuzion Requests & Approvals
* Provide Holiday/Sick cover for other Systems owners as required
Key Requirements:
Must have a strong field presence
* Will be a strong advocate for Safety performance in field by participating fully in safety program and lead by example.
* Will be required to monitor, and mentor the construction team to achieve a strong quality installation, and practices i.e. FOAK’s, Zero punch, Right First Time
* Will be required to monitor and mentor the Design Build partner in delivering the Quality Program (Q-PEP), a good understanding of Quality Procedures and Quality Reports & Metrics and Quality Records
* Will be required to provide constructability inputs into schedule, focus on look a-heads as well as monitoring & tracking systems inline for commissioning/handover

Education & Experience:
* Experience Project or Lead Engineer
* Must have a min 6 years’ experience on large multidiscipline projects in a design or CM role with 2 years min. experience in MEP Microelectronics systems.
Essential Skills:
* Good communicator both written and verbal
* Technically competent on Mechanical/ Electrical and process construction methods.
* Participation in and provision of technical & constructability input to Design Reviews
* Strong field presence.
* Participates as key stakeholder from design process, through construction, through OAT’s / FAT’s, matching to white paper complete & approved.
* Daily coordination with general contractors, working closely with single points on contacts( SPOC), Project Engineers (PE), & Work Groups, working closely with SPOC, PE, & Work Groups.
* Client representation and monitoring of vendor during design, install and handover-built environment. Escalation to necessary level as required
* Ability to prioritise issues
