Mechanical Project Engineer
This is a rare opportunity to join an established company in the northeast of Ireland.
We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer with experience in the mining and heavy industry sectors to contribute to the development of a new mine project.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading mechanical projects across mining and quarrying operations, managing projects to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery, and working closely with cross-functional teams to implement operating procedures and resolve system malfunctions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage projects to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective delivery.
* Lead and manage mechanical projects across mining and quarrying operations.
* Research and analyse design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements.
* Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
* Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation and make recommendations.
* Ensure installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and equipment according to specifications.
* Conduct research to test and analyse feasibility, design, operation, and performance of equipment, components, and systems.
* Recommend design modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, with experience in project management, design, procurement, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
Working Conditions:
This is a permanent role based in the northeast of Ireland, commutable from Cavan, Monaghan, and Louth. The successful candidate will work closely with a experienced team to deliver projects that meet the company's objectives.
