We are recruiting for an Assistant Director of Sales to join our 4 star client.
About the Role
Duties and Responsibilities of the Role
Sales Strategy & Planning
* Assist in developing and implementing the hotel’s annual sales and marketing plan
* Identify new business opportunities and markets to maximize revenue
* Collaborate with the Director of Sales to set sales targets and strategies
Client Relationship Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and travel agents
* Conduct site visits, presentations, and negotiations to close sales deals
* Attend industry events and trade shows to promote the hotel and establish new business connections
Revenue Management
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies accordingly
* Work closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize room occupancy and average daily rates
* Analyse sales performance and provide insights for revenue forecasting and budget planning
* Supervise and support the Sales team, providing guidance and training to achieve departmental goals
* Conduct regular performance evaluations and mentor team members for career development
* Assist in recruitment and onboarding of new sales team members
Event Coordination
* Collaborate with the Events and Catering teams to manage group bookings and large-scale events
* Oversee contract negotiations and ensure all event details meet client expectations and hotel standards
Reporting & Analysis
* Prepare detailed sales reports and presentations for senior management
* Track and analyse key performance indicators to measure sales effectiveness
* Utilize CRM systems to maintain accurate records of sales activities and client information
Collaboration with Other Departments
* Work closely with the Front Office, Food and Beverage, and Operations teams to ensure a seamless guest experience
* Participate in weekly executive meetings to align sales strategies with overall hotel operations

Requirements for the Role
* A bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree preferred
* Proven experience in sales and marketing within the luxury hospitality sector, with a strong track record of driving revenue and achieving targets
