Job Title: Environment, Health & Safety Manager
Force Recruitment have partnered with one of the top pharmaceutical manufacturers who are on a look out for a Environment, and health & safety manager for their oral solid dose facility in Dublin.
Responsibilities:
* Provide sound technical advice for the organisation on all EHS issues and engage all stakeholders to ensure EHS is at the forefront for all changes and projects undertaken on site.
* Participate in the introduction of new products or technical/product changes to ensure impact on health and safety as well as the environment are evaluated and adequate controls are recommended.
* Continue to implement and maintain EHS programmes to ensure compliance with internal technical requirements and external obligations.
* Monitor compliance with our IEL at all times ensuring our licence conditions are met and that notifications are sent to the EPA in a timely manner.
* Liaise with EHS regulatory agencies and identify and manage all legal requirements to ensure compliance and keep up-to-date with evolving statutory changes and industry best practice.
* Focus on process safety and occupational hygiene, aligning with the pharma industry's high standards in our operational environment.
* Maintain EHS performance scorecard information, reporting dashboard and deliver summary overviews and related communications to stakeholders.
* Manage the development and execution of comprehensive strategies and prioritised tactical plans which address key EHS risks for the business.
* This role requires EHS expertise to influence process design and redesign, ensuring adherence to pharmaceutical safety and environmental standards. Ensuring risk assessments are completed for all processes and occupational activities, as well as environmental risk evaluations, which are fundamental to our EHS vision.
* Manage the EHS Training Curriculum for the site ensuring all employees have the necessary information instruction and training to conduct their roles in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
* Manage and conducting internal audits and EHS walkabouts ensuring the identification of practical and workable solutions to any deficiencies raised.
* Lead the investigation process for EHS incidents ensuring the root causes are always identified along with defensible corrective actions which prevent recurrence.
* Manage the collection, reporting and diagnosis of EHS data to identify trends and areas for focused improvement.
* Support the implementation of waste reduction and recycling programs, energy efficiency programs and other programmes as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum 5 years EHS experience in a cGMP environment.
* Previous experience in an EHS management role would be an advantage.
* Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in either Science or Engineering, plus a minimum of a Diploma (or equivalent) in Health & Safety or Environmental Management.
* Experience working in a facility with an Industrial Emissions Licence is a must.
* Ability to interpret regulations and support their implementation.
* Strong organisation and problem-solving skills.
* Strong communication and influencing skills.
* Good computer skills, incl. MS Office and MS Outlook.
