Business Development Manager Heating Industry (Cork) Are you a dynamic and results-driven professional looking to make a real impact?
Our client, a rapidly growing Cork-based manufacturer of heating systems, is seeking a Business Development Manager (BDM) to be at the forefront of their expansion.
As BDM, you will be the face of the company, representing them at International Exhibitions across Europe and China (50% travel) while fostering and strengthening relationships with distributors.
You will be an integral part of a small but ambitious management team, driving growth and taking charge of business development.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and develop new business opportunities, partnerships, and market segments to drive sales growth.
Conduct continuous market research to understand trends and customer needs, shaping future business strategies.
Implement effective sales strategies to expand the company's market reach and profitability.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, customers, and industry partners.
Manage and update the CRM database to support future business development initiatives.
Collaborate with internal teams, including Engineering and Sales & Marketing, to develop tailored solutions for customers.
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences worldwide.
Provide regular reports on business development activities, sales metrics, and market insights.
Support the preparation of sales forecasts, budgets, and strategic business plans.
Oversee the follow-up process for customer quotations and inbound enquiries via phone, website, email, and social media Assist in creating content for blogs and maintaining website engagement alongside the Sales & Marketing team.
Requirements 5+ years' experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the Heating, Technical or Manufacturing industry Experience managing a globally diverse distributor network.
Strong strategic thinking with a track record of implementing successful business strategies.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
A confident self-starter with High Commercial Acumen and the ability to work independently.
Willingness to travel internationally (approximately 50% of the time).
Ability to develop and present professional proposals and lead virtual and in-person sales meetings.
