Job Summary
The Head of Finance is responsible for the financial reporting, treasury, and tax obligations of the company. This role requires a senior finance professional with extensive experience in regulatory finance roles, particularly in MiFID investment firms.
The Role
1. Manage a small team responsible for all financial reporting, tax, and treasury functions.
2. Develop and maintain the Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP) and Recovery Plan.
3. Maintain and enhance financial models to support ICAAP and Recovery Plan delivery.
4. Approval and filing of prudential reports for a MiFID investment firm.
5. Manage and develop recovery and resolution plans.
6. Maintain a strong understanding of regulations, upcoming developments, and best practices covering all aspects of a registered investment firm.
7. Plan, coordinate, and manage the statutory audit.
8. Advise the CEO on financial performance, identification, and management of financial risks.
The Person
1. A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, etc.).
2. 10+ years of experience in a senior finance role.
3. Head of Finance with PCF-11 experience at a CBI-registered investment firm or similar entity is an advantage.
4. Extensive experience in regulatory finance roles at a MiFID investment firm.
5. Sound knowledge of treasury operations and experience working with external banking partners.
6. Knowledge of cash investments and Money Market Funds is desirable.
7. Experience in managing tax compliance within Ireland.
