Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON)
The Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) is a critical leadership role in our Step Down Facility, Nenagh. This position plays a key part in ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care, supporting nursing staff, and assisting the Director of Nursing in managing the facility's overall operations.

Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Director of Nursing in managing the facility, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and regulations.
* Oversee daily nursing department operations, promoting professional development and a positive work environment.
* Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to enhance patient care quality.
* Monitor patient care outcomes and collaborate with the healthcare team to implement quality improvement initiatives.
* Coordinate patient care plans, ensuring effective communication among multidisciplinary teams.
* Manage staff schedules, conduct performance evaluations, and identify training needs.
* Promote a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and excellence in patient care.
Qualifications and Experience
* Registered General Nurse (RGN) with active registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Minimum 7 years of post-registration nursing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or managerial role.
* Previous experience in a step down facility, rehabilitation, or similar healthcare setting is highly desirable.
