Senior Governance & Risk Analyst

Your Role:
* Leading underwriting governance initiatives, ensuring compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
* Evaluating and enhancing controls, processes, and risk frameworks within underwriting.
* Overseeing the accuracy and integrity of underwriting data in internal systems.
* Monitoring market developments and regulatory changes, providing guidance to underwriters and leadership teams.
* Supporting internal and external audits, liaising with auditors and regulators as needed.
* Assisting in the development of risk modelling, pricing oversight, and underwriting controls.
* Collaborating with risk, compliance, and underwriting teams to drive best practices and process improvements.
* Preparing governance reports and recommendations for senior management and regulatory bodies.
* Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members within the governance function.
Your Skills & Experience:
* 5+ years' experience in a governance, risk, audit, or compliance role within insurance.
* Strong understanding of insurance processes, underwriting governance, and regulatory frameworks.
* Experience in risk management, internal controls, and compliance monitoring.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and other reporting tools for risk analysis and governance reporting.
* Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex regulatory environments.
* A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively under pressure.
