St. Michael's House is a community-based organisation providing high-quality, person-centred services to individuals with an intellectual disability in the greater Dublin area.
About the Role
We are seeking a full-time permanent Clinical Nurse Manager 2 (CNM2) to lead our Donabate Children's Respite Service. This role involves providing support to up to 40 children, ensuring their nursing, social, and emotional needs are met during breaks from their families.
The successful candidate will have a passion for working with children and be committed to helping them develop their full potential in a compassionate and child-centred environment.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of staff providing nursing, social, and emotional support to children with an intellectual disability.
* Problem-solve and work on own initiative to address complex health needs and behaviour support requirements.
* Develop and implement individualised care plans in collaboration with families and other stakeholders.
* Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to HIQA Regulations and Health Act 2007.
* Foster a positive, inclusive work environment that promotes staff development and well-being.
Requirements
* RNID qualification and current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI).
* Minimum 5 years' experience in the field of intellectual disability, complex health needs, autism, and positive behaviour support.
* Accredited management qualification and minimum 3 years' experience in management or supervisory roles in health or social care.
* Proven ability to manage budgets, resources, and staff, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of Health Act 2007, HIQA Regulations, and safeguarding policies and procedures.
