Procurement Senior Specialist
RK21126, Contract – 11 months, Meath
Duties:
1. Manages direct, indirect and research procurement categories including strategic sourcing and procurement, supplier selection and negotiations, creating leverage above site, contract management.
2. Relationship management with senior stakeholders on site to provide full support on supply, drive and support changes, understand site priorities and use that opportunity to seek support and alignment on implementing procurement driven projects (supplier changes, commercial initiatives etc).
3. Strategic supplier relationship management to drive alignment to SSC Category targets and enable continuous improvement (supply, quality, innovation, cost and regulatory aspect).
4. Implementation of globally cascaded projects including right project management to meet project deadlines, alignment with the site, managing supplier transition etc.
5. Responsible for continuous procurement process improvement, increasing personal productivity.
6. Engages, obtains sponsorship, and influences senior level stakeholders demonstrating procurement value proposition, creates a delivery plan shared jointly with business stakeholders.
7. Develops end to end risk management strategies and performance management & improvement strategies.
8. Acts as change agent, demonstrating added value brought by the procurement function. Is a personal example and role model of the leadership behaviours.
9. Actively supports diversity, within the company as well as including expanding relationships with diverse SME suppliers.
10. Responsible for developing and delivering objectives and targets in respective categories including annual profit plan/savings forecast, working capital conversion/pull through targets, SME spend targets, spend concentration%, and contract compliance% targets.
Experience and Education:
1. BS/BA degree in Engineering/Supply Chain or Business minimally; MBA or CPM/Supply Chain certification preferred.
2. Working experience in multinational companies, complex matrix organizations, exposure to international teams.
3. 5-7 years of experience in manufacturing/supply chain/procurement for manufacturing sites.
