An exciting opportunity has arisen at a large multi-channel distributor of business supplies, EOS and Facilities services in Ireland and the UK.
OVERALL OBJECTIVE
To seek new business opportunities, through qualifying leads as sales opportunities. Contacting potential customers through cold calling. Developing relationships, building contract pipelines with potential customers across the private and public sectors in Ireland.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Qualify leads from marketing campaigns and business lists as sales opportunities
2. Build significant pipeline of contract renewals and new account opportunities through CRM
3. Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails
4. Present our company to potential clients
5. Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
6. Build long-term trusting relationships with clients
7. Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
8. Set up meetings or between (prospective) clients and External Sales Management as requested
9. Report to the Management on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) sales results
10. Stay up to date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans within company
PERSON SPECIFICATION
1. Previous proven experience in a New Business Development “Hunting” Role.
2. Someone with previous knowledge of the Facilities and Office supplies range would be desirable
3. Hands on experience with multiple sales techniques especially cold calling
4. Track record of previous sales targets and results
5. Experience on sales management systems like CRM or Salesforce
6. Understanding of sales performance metrics and positive response to KPI targets
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills
8. Ability to deliver engaging and professional telephone manner with a positive and proactive approach to change
9. Ability to work on their own initiative and under timed challenges to complete and achieve results
10. Above all they should be enthusiastic and well-motivated with a natural confidence, a desire to learn about our products, services, systems and customers to excel at their role.
