Job Description
This role offers a unique opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly expanding company as a key member of the existing team.
Main Responsibilities
* Bookkeeping up to trial balance stage: Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions.
* Daily financial operations: Manage tasks such as posting supplier invoices, reconciling supplier accounts, accounts payable management, creating customer invoices, accounts receivable management, and more.
* Bank/credit-card reconciliations: Perform monthly reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
* VAT returns and analysis: Handle monthly VAT returns and conduct necessary analysis.
* Aged debtors reports and credit control: Prepare monthly reports and provide credit control as needed.
* Lodgements: Prepare lodgements efficiently.
* Payroll payments: Process monthly payroll payments.
Requirements
* A minimum of three years' experience in accounting and bookkeeping.
* Achieved at least a GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English.
* Fluent in both written and spoken English.
* A strong understanding of financial management principles and practices.
* Competent knowledge and proficiency in using the Sage 50 accounts package.
