We are seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing to contribute to delivering high standards of care to our residents in Brookfield Care Centre, Leamlara.

Essential Criteria:
* At least 3 years' experience of nursing older persons within the last 6 years.
* Minimum of 7 years post-registration experience.
* In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements and inspection activity as they pertain to residential care centres.
* Holding a third-level qualification in management.
* Ability to manage workload effectively while responding flexibly to new demands at short notice.
* Demonstrating ability to embrace change and commit to continuous improvement and learning throughout the residential care home.
* Skill to influence others, build constructive relationships and achieve outcomes.
* Promoting an ethos and culture of quality assurance within the clinical area.
* Registered General Nurse status.
* Availability to work flexible hours when required.
Responsibilities:
* In the absence of the Director of Nursing, will undertake the role and responsibilities of Person-in-Charge in line with the Health Act 2007, regulations and HIQA standards.
* Maintaining overall standards of hygiene and food safety at the highest level possible.
* Liaising with other senior managers in delivery of housekeeping standards; food safety, quality and choice; maintenance standards; and administration efficiency.
* Participating in clinical management within the home in consultation with DON, including providing care to residents, communicating with residents/families/representatives, managing staff, monitoring performance and standards, developing policies and procedures, and delivering training.
* Coordinating the quality and safety system including all aspects of clinical risk management and resident involvement.
* Participating in coaching and appraisal of staff on a regular basis.
* In consultation with HR, participating in grievance and disciplinary activities.
* Coordinating, rostering, and managing staff in conjunction with the senior management team.
* Leading by example a professional, punctual, and dedicated team.
* Participating in the development of policies and standards for Carechoice.
