Manager of Housing Supports (Mid-West)Location: LimerickContract: Full-time, PermanentThe purpose of this role is to manage Housing Supports providing leadership, operational oversight, and strategic input across multiple service locations in the Mid-West.
The role includes managing a diverse team, overseeing housing support services, engaging with stakeholders, and contributing to the strategic development of the organisation. What you will do:People Management: Provide line management for staff across multiple locations, offering leadership, support, and guidance on performance, development, and addressing underperformance in line with HR policies and guidelines.Service Oversight: Oversee the effective delivery of key housing services, including Short Term Accommodation, Long Term Accommodation, Resettlement, and Housing First, ensuring best practices and high standards of support and service delivery in line with KPIs, SLAs and NQSF requirements.Strategic Leadership: Advise leadership on emerging trends and challenges, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making through appropriate forums.Budget & Financial Management: To implement the day-to-day budget for the projects and propose budget needs to the Head of Housing Supports on a regular basis.Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration: Support the Head of Housing Supports to build and maintain strong relationships with external agencies (e.g., housing agencies, HSE, and local authorities) to enhance service delivery, supporting key projects such as Housing First in Limerick and Clare.Recruitment: Support Human Resources in identifying and selecting suitable candidates to meet team needs and ensure service delivery excellence.Data Management & Reporting: Manage and extract data from key service databases (ORION, PASS and Softworks) to track performance metrics, generate reports, and provide actionable insights for decision-making.Housing & Property Management: Collaborate with Focus Housing Association to manage over 200 housing units in the Mid-West, in areas such as housing management, voids, arrears, referrals, and assessments.Out of Hours Service Coordination: Manage and coordinate the on-call service, ensuring efficiency and effective out-of-hours service provision in line with SLA requirements.Reporting & Compliance: Prepare and submit regular reports to line management and key stakeholders, highlighting progress, challenges, and areas for improvement.Service Evaluations & Continuous Improvement: Participate in project evaluations (e.g.
Annual Service Reviews) and lead the implementation of service improvements based on review outcomes.Representation & Advocacy: Represent Focus Ireland on the Limerick Homeless Alliance forum.Professional Development: Actively engage in Reflective Practice and Supervision to enhance professional growth and service delivery and provide regular supervision to team members.What you will need:A relevant Third Level qualification at degree level in social care, or related discipline.Proven experience in a management role within housing or homelessness services with knowledge and insight of issues related to provision of services for vulnerable individuals and families.Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience managing large teams across multiple locations.Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and electronic.Ability to provide professional supervision.Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.Familiarity with key service databases such as ORION and PASS.Full clean driver's license with access to a car.Focus Ireland is an equal opportunity employer
