The RoleDue to an upcoming period of parental leave, we now wish to appoint a Bid Executive to lead Ireland-based bids for our Dublin office, taking ownership of the bid process and associated work-winning activities.
This role is being offered on a 14-month fixed-term contract basis.
There is some flexibility in working hours and this can be discussed at the interview stage along with the ratio of WFH and office-based days.
Reporting to the Bid Manager, the role will include the day-to-day management and delivery of all bids for our Dublin office and working with the wider bid team to deliver exceptional written content, ensuring adherence to quality and brand standards and approved methods of working.
You will also contribute to activities that support the wider bid team function, input into the global bid strategy, making recommendations for improvement to the Bid Manager and wider senior Cundall team, and providing additional support to the global business where required.
Core responsibilities include: BidsDelivering bids in Word and PowerPoint.Driving and reinforcing bid strategy, management, and deliverables throughout the bid process.Managing the bid process from inception to completion, including leading bid kick-off and progress meetings, working with senior technical staff and support staff to develop, write, and refine bespoke responses.Thoroughly quality checking tender documents prior to submission via electronic portal or other digital formats.Leading preparation workshops and creating presentations in MS PowerPoint for mid and post-tender interviews.Working with the marketing team and technical teams to create and keep up to date CVs, project profiles, and other collateral for use in bids.Ad-hoc management of junior bid team members on all bid-related information.General due diligence, ownership, and accountability.Business DevelopmentUndertaking research (for instance on local opportunities, clients, and developers), as instructed by senior staff.Analysing trends and feedback from bid team reports across the local region, working with and presenting to sector leaders as necessary to establish local strategy and targets.The SkillsEducated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant field, you will have a minimum of three years' experience in a bid writing, bid coordinating, or bid management role.
APMP Foundation certification is desirable but not essential.
You will have proven experience of working in a professional services and/or consultancy environment and know what it takes to work successfully in a complex, multi-site, and fast-paced environment.
You can demonstrate your experience of working strategically and independently, coordinating closely with multiple stakeholders to achieve objectives.
Crucially, you will have outstanding written and verbal communication skills and have a proven track record of working with a range of industry-standard programmes (MS Office, SharePoint, Adobe InDesign (desirable not essential), Acrobat, Bluebeam Revu, etc.
).
Ideally, you will be familiar with standard public sector bidding formats and documents in Ireland and in the use of the e-tenders portal.
Experience of working in the built environment sector would be advantageous.
